I never write negative reviews because my purpose is to uplift businesses but this store had me so disgusted I have to change my general approach. St Vincent DePaul on Division St Eugene Oregon was one of the smelliest most disgusting places I had ever been, it was obvious to me that a homeless man used some sort of substance in the bathroom before coming out and acting erratically, I talked to an employee and security and they said thats just how eugene is. It was a disgusting experience do NOT bring your family here. I also observed the manager (She had brown hair, small stature, and pale white skin) severely disrespecting her elderly employees, She yelled at a woman named dawn, I went and spoke to dawn and she said the manager treats her poorly because shes old. I am disgusted. not to mention the prices. terrible prices, there was a poker set labelled 4.99 with a goodwill tag now labelled 14.99 with a st vinnies tag.

Ive definitely gotten a few decent items like the occasional tool for $1.99, but I found a pair of shoes for $15 that are literally sold on Temu for $8, and they were used. Just yesterday I saw a wetsuit (granted a nice one) listed for $200! They 2 suits next to it were each $14.99. How is it morally right to charge that much for something that a) is donated for free, and b) definitely isnt $185 more valuable than the 2 suits right next to it? Management needs to pay more attention to the way they upsell FREE USED items. Probably why so many people simply steal the stuff. Don't even get me started on the furniture and appliances that are literally donated to help lower income families in the community, but never get there because they're basically listed at the same price as the stores that sold them originally. People with donations should really start just making "free" posts on Facebook marketplace. Would definitely help more people that way.

Over the past months we’ve been hearing this loud alarm go off in our neighborhood. Starts around 7 and goes off randomly throughout the night. It’s awful. So we searched for where it is coming from. It’s St. Vinnie’s.

Called and left a complaint. It’s been a week now and nothing has changed. They are becoming an extremely unwelcome business in our neighborhood.

I know that alarm must be bothering other folks too.

Really disappointed in this location after today. I was purchasing XL children's shorts, but the cashier rang them up as adult apparel, which was more than the kids'. When I tried to point out they were kids she got snappy and said they were "tagged as adult small," and waved the color tag thing. Then asked "do you still want them or not?" I typically love St. Vincent de Paul because I feel like they do a lot for the community, but that's just a sneaky way of ripping people off in your stores. I probably just won't come back to this location. Still really love the other stores.
