A friend and myself were asked to meet Bates at a home where they had completed an estate sale, the home was sold, with 3 pieces of left over furniture which we were considering purchasing. A sweet young man met us at the home; we were there prepared to purchase. As we are wheeling and dealing on the phone with the young man, and Mr Bates on speaker phone, Mr Bates made an abrupt decision to kick us out of the house. This shocked me, my friends that came with me and the young man. Mr Batez said more then once on speaker, "get them out of there. I'm done with this." This was repeated... we were asked to come by. We are 2 older woman that wrre mistreated by this Mr Bates, We did nothing wrong. The young man was shaken by this behavior as well. I will never recommend Bates to sell anything. I believe he put us older woman at risk, he was very disrespectful to us. My 70 year old friend is still shaken by this, just as the young man was. Very volatile. Caution to older woman.
