Ray of Hope Community Thrift Store is a dream come true for Woodburn and all North Marion County communities. Imagine a nonprofit thrift store that provides jobs, job training, volunteer opportunities, and community service hours while promoting, supporting, and funding dozens of civic initiatives and charitable causes.
As if that’s not enough, the store donates 300-400 unsold items a day (clothing, shoes, household items, and furniture) to its sister organization, Hope Center, to be sorted, sized, and stored by Hope Center volunteers and distributed through more than a dozen local helping organizations to people and families who need them most.
Oh, did I mention the wide selection, great value, and low prices on 1000-1500 new items a day or the friendly atmosphere, top-notch staff, and excellent customer service in a super clean, well-lighted store with not a trace of that awful “thrift store” smell.
If you can’t tell, I am a raving fan. Care to join me?
