This place is an eternal treasure trove of beautiful, rare finds. I always leave with a smile on my face, a record I've longed for, or a record I never knew I wanted, a previously loved book of any variety of genre, maybe some colorful vintage pants, a piece of local crafted art, and a full heart from good connection with fellow shoppers and with Jesse and Kristen. Broken Dreams is a true Portland gem !

Not quite a record store (as listed on google) and not quite a thrift shop…this place is its own strange little universe. A charmingly cluttered treasure trove of bric-a-brac, oddities, and the occasional dusty vinyl. You might walk in looking for music but you’ll walk out with a ceramic owl, a vintage postcard, or some random vintage curio. Don’t come expecting organization…just embrace the chaos and you might find a gem or two.

Such a lovely space to explore and find unique treasures! The owners are amazing humans and the support and space they provide for the art and music community is something to behold. They have new stuff coming in all the time... fabulous clothing, wall hangings, original paintings, prints, locally made cards and notebooks, jewelry and mosaics. Prices are really reasonable and it seems like there would be something for anyone... I can't walk out without buying something every time I go. Stop by Saturdays if you want to catch someone DJing at the window booth!

Such a unique space with a wonderfully cultivated selection of items. It’s like being in an eye spy book and they’re constantly getting new items in. Records, clothing, books, knick knacks, oddities, and more!! The owners are so sweet and kind :)
