This is a thrift store that is attached to the library as one unit. I went to the cedar Mill library and I stopped by this sotre. I found out that this library is not supported by any government grants money in the county. So, people in the community donate whatever they can at the thrift store here , and the fund from selling those items support Cedar Mill Library. šŸ¤”šŸ¤ it is amazing isn't it? That was my first time seeing a library not being supported by government grants. I took my time to do some shopping after a volunteer at the store told me the story behind library. So please whenever you have some time, Stop by there and support this beautiful community library with your donations.

I always find what I'm looking for (and even more!) They put new stuff out all day. Their prices are better than other thrift stores.

Like others, I enjoy supporting our library through this resale store. However on multiple occasions I have felt the staff to be very rude. Today was the worst I’ve witnessed here: a customer came in because the camping chairs she had purchased were defective. The manager Cori treated her awfully, saying ā€œI know the person who checked these chairs wouldn’t miss this, so that makes me think something else is going on hereā€, insinuating this customer was lying! Not only that, but Cori was saying all of this in a raised voice repeatedly so the whole store could hear. It was mortifying. The customer was way more patient in receiving this verbal abuse than I would have been. Cori reluctantly gave her store credit, but if it were me I wouldn’t return to use it. I spoke to the customer afterwards who was in shock at her treatment and said she loved supporting the library and was a frequent customer there. Cori is a stain on this organization and should take some courses on customer service or go into a field that is not customer-facing.

This used to be one of my favorite shops and I loved that it benefits the library! However, the prices lately have become absurd ー everything is now extremely expensive and no longer accessible. Disappointing and sad.

I go to the library every Friday. Yet my first store is Second Edition. I've been going for over 15 years. I've picked up so many gently used items for our family. I love that we are reusing items and that thr proceeds go to help support new books and services. Win. Win!
