Ethan Allen is a wonderful furniture store. The customer service was nice and helpful. I believe her name was Heather. She welcomed me and said I was free to look around and ask questions. They do custom design work, or you can purchase ready-made products, but they can customize them if desired. The furniture pricing is on the higher end, but that's due to the designer brand name. The store atmosphere is nice and calming. The shop layout is beautifully decorated; it feels like a different room in each corner of the store. It's aesthetically pleasing. Check it out if you're in the market for furniture or décor items.

Working with designer Heather Gutowski at Ethan Allen in Portland was so much fun. She assessed my style well and suggested the crocodile leather. Ask you can see it turned out to be a fabulous idea.

I love the style of the lamps, and I'd give them five stars except for two things:

* The gold finish is much more garish than shown in the photo.

* The cord comes out the side rather than the bottom. The base sits on small feet, and there's plenty of room for the cord to come out the bottom and under the lamp. Instead, the cord comes out the side and rears up and over the base. The person who designed the lamp has no esthetic sense.

What a great experience I had with designer Heather Gutoski! She is talented, patient and her design hit it out of the park! I cannot recommend her enough if you need support sorting out your choices because EA has lots! Couch is well made, comfy and looks luxe!!!

After living with less than satisfactory couches for several years, we returned to Ethan Allen, remembering exceptionally made quality furniture makes every difference especially in rooms where family and friends gather daily! So grateful Ethan Allen opened a new retail location of which we were Heather’s very first costumers! She came to our home with ideas, suggestions, and fabric swatches and more than once! She came to our home with enthusiasm and a listening ear. We worked as a team, selecting 2 new beautiful couches and a gorgeous area rug that played well with other furnishings in our room. This was vitally important to me as I didn’t want to simply re-do an entire room just to accommodate these new furnishings. Heather was amazing to work with and respectful. She also has a wonderful eye for detail, design and scale. We are so happy! My son’s wedding is in a few weeks, family and friends are coming to town and will be gathering in our home with much to celebrate! Thank you Heather and Ethan Allen.
