I do not recommend Family promise. A little over a year ago me and my family stayed there. The staff is very unprofessional. They don’t really seem to understand how homelessness truly works, and how everybody is not the same when it comes to homelessness. They also helped my partner run away with my child and helped her keep him away from me when she was not legally able to do that. I had to go through state to get my son back Which I did get him back. So they helped her commit a crime and they also helped her steal my cat. I have a feeling they target people who don’t have money so they don’t sue them which I would sue this place if I had the money. Very unprofessional and when I came to get my stuff, they took what they wanted and kept it for the facility or gave it to my partner to keep and wouldn’t let me look over what was really mine. Basically I really don’t recommend this place for families , even though they try to market themselves as a shelter that helps families there’s a much better place in McMinnville, Oregon that truly helps families get out of homelessness it’s called turnkey ran through Ycap. They also have one in Newberg. The staff here at family promise is criminal and the way they run it. The way they help people to destroy families and put Young children like my son in danger when they have no right. Because they know you’re down and can’t really fight back financially to sue them.
